The technology solves a key challenge related to hydrogen production: how to capture emission during the actual production process. The ZEG method ensures that CO2 is captured in an efficient and cost-efficient way, so it can be further stored or used.

The unique technology was developed over several years at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). ZEG Power is now in the process of establishing an industrial plant for daily production of 700 kg of hydrogen, which corresponds to 250 tons a year. With the future commercialization of a larger plant, ZEG Power will be able to meet the increasing demand for hydrogen from maritime and land-based transport". from Nysnø Klimainvesteringer 2023
